During the 2-week international study period, Shanghai Ocean University provides a variety of courses for participants, such as intensive Chinese language immersion. Using Chinese brushes to write characters traditional Chinese painting, singing Chinese songs, etc., and various cultural activities were organized outdoors, such as viewing and learning about the local landscape and culture. Everyone enjoyed the activity which gained both experience and gained a lot of knowledge as well.
This is the first time of the international study program. It was successful and went well. Those who participated in the project gathered and learned Chinese. They also had the opportunity to experience the economic diversity and development of Shanghai, the economic center of China. At the same time, experiencing Chinese culture and local way of life is an example for participants in carrying out a more deep and high-quality international Chinese language teaching program in the future.
